Greetings:
Joshua 1:8 has always been one of my favorite verses. (Alright, alright, I can hear someone say that makes the list of favorite verses longer.) God is speaking to Joshua right after Moses died and Joshua assumed the responsibility for the nation.
"This book of instruction must not depart from your mouth; you are to recite it day and night, so that you may carefully observe everything written in it. For then you will prosper and succeed in whatever you do." (HCSB)
Notice what God challenges Joshua to do. Memorize God's Word. Recite it day and night. And then - do it. And when we do this - a promise is attached. We will prosper and succeed.
I challenge you to start 2009 off right - read, memorize and do God's Word each and every day.
And see if you too will prosper and succeed in God's way this year.
