Revive us again, O Lord

June 11

Daily Bible Reading: 2 Chronicles 34 – 36

Verse of the Day: 2 Chronicles 34:31 – “And the king stood in his place, and made a covenant before Jehovah, to walk after Jehovah, and to keep his commandments, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and with all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant that were written in this book.”

Hilkiah discovered the Word of God in the Temple, brought it to young Josiah, and he in turn read and committed himself and his nation to follow the truths of the Book of the Law. God had oversaw its preservation during the nation’s apostasy, and orchestrated its return to the focal point of the nation.

He is doing the same thing with His Word today. He has preserved it, and will bring it to the front to create a great revival in our land.

Prayer: Today Heavenly Father, Preserver, Sustainer, open our eyes to the truths of Your Word and lead us into obedience to You. Revive, restore Your Word in our hearts. Amen.
