I am writing a review of the NKJV Personal Size Large Print, End of Verse Reference, Premium Goatskin Leather Bible from Thomas Nelson Publishers. This Bible was sent to me for review by Bible Gateway for free as a member of the Bible Gateway Blogger Grid (#BibleGatewayPartner).
This Bible is a part of the Thomas Nelson Premium Bible Publications. The overall size of this Large Print Bible is surprisingly compact. The type size was excellent (Thomas Nelson NKJV Typeface that was created at the 2K/DENMARK type foundry. I have found it easy to read, both in style and size. I have been using it to preach from and it is perfect to see and read from the Pulpit.
This Bible includes the NKJV section headings, and the references are listed at the end of the verse. I personally would have liked a few more references, but these were adequate. There is a 42-page Concordance (small type) and 5 pages of full-color maps at the back.
Some versions of the NKJV use paragraph form with the verses gathered in paragraph style, making it hard to find a single verse quickly at times when reading it from the Pulpit. This Bible has them in the traditional manner of each verse starting at the left of the column. For preaching, teaching, and general study - this allows one to find what they are seeking easily.
The Premium Goatskin Leather cover was soft, flexible, and well-bound. It has a luxurious look and feel to the touch. There are three ribbon markers that are handy for marking your place. If one is looking for a large print NKJV Bible - this one fills the bill.
