Overcoming the Obstacles

Romans 8:31 (MSG) - "So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose?"

Caleb in the Old Testament faced pressure that could cause him to despair after his spy mission into Canaan. 10 of the spies panicked when they saw the inhabitants of the land, and only he and Joshua had a different perspective. The ten saw the giants and felt that they couldn't defeat them - they were too powerful. Caleb - he saw the giants, but he also had witnessed the power of a God who could hold back the waters of the Red Sea. He didn't fear the armies of the Anakites or the Amalekites, when he had watched first hand how God had brought the mighty Egypt to their knees.

Caleb viewed the obstacles in front of him, and then concluded that nothing was a match for his God. Paul in our verse today echoes this same sentiment.

Have you reached the same conclusion regarding the obstacles in your life? Today, muse over which is bigger - your obstacles (problems, etc.) or your God. Then focus on the right choice.
