Greetings and a Happy New Year!:
2 Cor. 5: 17 (HCSB) - "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation; old things have passed away, and look, new things have come."
God is the God of the new. The word translated as new in this verse means fresh, novel, unheard of before. When we accept the free gift of salvation, God creates us fresh. we are as if we had never were before. In fact, the term old things means ancient. primal, from the beginning. Before we met Christ, we were as all men from the beginning - sin-natured. With Christ - we are all fresh and new.
Today is the first day of 2009. It is a blank calendar. The pages before you are fresh and clean. The question is - what are you going to do with it? Will you fill it with your wishes, desires, schemes and plans - or will you fill it with His plans?
The choice is yours. What will you do with it?
