Inconsistent

Greetings:

Today marks the 36th anniversary of Roe v. Wade. I have been told that since that time more babies have been aborted than lost in our wars.

In my Philosophy class that I teach, when we study the idea of worldviews - one thing that we look at is whether they are consistent or not. If they are not consistent, they cannot be completely valid.
So, I was pondering this morning - how can those who fight against child abuse and capital punishment be the same people who fight for abortion? Isn't abortion the ultimate form of child abuse and capital punishment?
