Genesis 14:22 (HCSB) - "But Abram said to the king of Sodom, “I have raised my hand in an oath to Yahweh, God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth...."
Most High God - El Elyon - Creator and Owner of all Heaven and Earth. The Psalmist proclaims in Psalm 91:9 - 10 (HCSB) - " Because you have made the Lord—my refuge, the Most High—your dwelling place, no harm will come to you; no plague will come near your tent." Therefore, we can join with the Psalmist in saying (verses 1 and 2) - "The one who lives under the protection of the Most High
dwells in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
He has consistently provided for His servants in the Scriptures, and He is a God who does not vary or change. Therefore, we can be assured that He will take care of us today. He knows what will happen today, tomorrow and all eternity. So, if you are unsure about what's happening around you - trust Him - His plans are always much greater than our own.
Ponder today how that behind the scenes the Most High God (El Elyon) will make "all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28 (HCSB).
