Where could I go?

November 11

Daily Bible Reading: Lamentations 3 - 5

Verse of the Day: Lamentations 3:26 – “It is good that a man should hope and quietly wait for the salvation of Jehovah.”

Not only is God good to those who wait and trust in Him, it is good for those who do it. In the midst of these funeral songs, Jeremiah reminds us that having a quiet confidence in God’s salvation is always in order.

Where can you go to find enough stillness to recover your relationship with God? Where can you go to rediscover that God is God? Where can you turn when it seems that all life is causing you to run helter-skelter to find His arms waiting for you?

Do not put off too long going to that place, whether real or in your spirit, to establish the complete rest and refueling of your spirit in His glorious presence.

Prayer: God of comfort and strength, today as I focus on You reach out and restore my heart, mind, and spirit in our relationship together. I need you. Amen.
