Daily Bible Reading: Ezekiel 38 – 39
Verse of the Day: Ezekiel 38:2 – “Son of man, set thy face toward Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him,”
These chapters deal with an interesting prophecy that only meets “end-times” understanding. An assembled group of Israel’s enemies join forces and seek to annihilate the nation. This shows us two things – first Israel will be restored (could be the 1948 accord), and that Satan’s desire to destroy the people of God continues. In chapter 38 we read of Gog and his allies attacking Israel. She is out-numbered and out-manned, except for one important factor – God is on their side. Chapter 39 speaks to the destruction of the armies of Gog being destroyed by God, the burial of Gog and the triumphant festival of Israel being fully restored.
If you haven’t picked this up yet, no matter what happens – GOD WINS.
Prayer: In the unrest of today, Father, help me to rest in Your Promises. Amen.
