The middle letter "I"

November 22

Daily Bible Reading: Ezekiel 27 – 28

Verse of the Day: Ezekiel 28:15 – “Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till unrighteousness was found in thee.”

Ezekiel 28: 1 – 19 is a prophecy against the King of Tyre. However, there is an on-going debate over whether this holds a second meaning – a description of Satan and his fall in verses 11 – 19. The reference to being in Eden, being called the anointed cherub (Ezekiel 28:14), and then this verse – many believe that this is at the least an allegory of the Fallen Angel, Lucifer.

Whether it is directly linked to Lucifer or not, it does show the destruction that comes when a person allows pride to become the center of their life. One has said that the middle letter of sin and pride is the same – “I.” Today, check your heart for the seeds and sin of pride. Confess it, remove it, and stay far from it.

Prayer: Forgiving Father, please remove the sin of pride from my being. Remove it, and let me seek You and You alone. Amen.

“To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.” (Colossians 1:27-28)  listen to chapter  (Read by Max McLean.
