Give with Gusto

Daily Bible Reading: Exodus 34 – 36

Verse of the Day: Exodus 35:21 – “And they came, every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing, and brought Jehovah's offering, for the work of the tent of meeting, and for all the service thereof, and for the holy garments.”

Do you give with gusto? I mean, do you really look forward to giving? Consider four thoughts today on giving with gusto.

First, Reflect on the gifts that God has given you. Second, Remember the promises of God about generosity. Third, study your heart to see what motivates your giving. Is it proportionate or do you give from guilt? Should others follow my lead? Then finally, totally trust God to honor consistent generosity. 

Today, do a mind-check and a heart-check on your giving habits and motivations.

Prayer: Generous and Giving God, help me to follow Your model and plan in my giving – to others and to You and Your Kingdom. Amen.
