Daily Bible Reading: Leviticus 14
Verse of the Day: Leviticus 14:57 – “…to teach when it is unclean, and when it is clean: this is the law of leprosy.”
The diagnosis of leprosy would bring great fear and hopelessness to the one receiving it. God in two chapters of Leviticus spends a great amount of time on the disease, the separation necessary, and the way to be allowed back if one recovered.
Leprosy was a dreaded disease, but the true lesson for us was that it was symbolic for sin in a person. The person with this was separated from the community, they were to be aware and warn others. There was no concealing the fact.
Everyone of us are infected with sin, we are separated from God, from worshipping Him, and there is hope outside of Jesus Christ. Today, pause and consider your relationship with Jesus. And then thank Him for providing restoration to God.
Prayer: Jesus, without You I have a hopeless end. With You I have an endless hope. Thank You for Your provision. Amen.
