Restored in full

June 10

Daily Bible Reading: 2 Chronicles 32 – 33

Verse of the Day: 2 Chronicles 33:12 – 13 - “And when he was in distress, he besought Jehovah his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers. And he prayed unto him; and he was entreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that Jehovah he was God.”

Manasseh was as evil as Hezekiah was good. Hezekiah’s son perpetrated many evils in Judah. So, God brought judgment upon him and the land. Here we see that when this happened, Manasseh realized that God is God, and that he needed to bow humbly and seek repentance and restoration. In our verse today, we see that when Manasseh sought God, God heard him and forgave, redeemed, and restored him.

God does the same for us today. If we come humbly, seek Him, and turn from our sin, He will forgive and restore us also.

Prayer: Great Judge of all the Earth, I humbly seek You and Your forgiveness. Amen.

“I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”” (John 10:28-30)  listen to chapter  (Read by Max McLean.
