Where is He?

December 1

Daily Bible Reading: 2 Peter 3

Verse of the Day: 2 Peter 3:8 – 9 – “But forget not this one thing, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some count slackness; but is longsuffering to you-ward, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

Jesus is coming again. He promised it, thereby it is sure. But, too many may argue that it has been over 2,000 years and He has not come back. Maybe He isn’t coming back. After all, what is He waiting for? The world is in a mess. Things keep getting worse. Where is He?

This verse reminds us that God’s not willing that any should go to Hell; He is patient trying to woo each one back to Him. He is patient, however, that will come to an end and Jesus will come back. And, those who reject Him will be left to their choice of an eternity separated from the Father.

Prayer: Father, give me the words to turn many back to You. May I be Your voice, that shows Your Patience and Love. Amen.
