Daily Bible Reading: 1 Chronicles 23 – 25
Verse of the Day: 1 Chronicles 23:2 – “And he gathered together all the princes of Israel, with the priests and the Levites.”
The next section of the book of 1 Chronicles deals with the preparation for the building of the Temple. Although David understood that he would not be the one to build the Temple, he placed the responsibility upon the shoulders of his son – Solomon – to take up the task.
In this section, we see the many preparations being made. The personnel provisions are set up. In today’s reading we see how David organized the Levites, Priests, and the Musicians to lead the people before God into true worship. David, the man after God’s own heart, had a sincere desire for all to love and worship the God he knew.
Today, evaluate your heart, is it truly set on the One true God completely?
