Daily Bible Reading: Ephesians 6
Verse of the Day: Ephesians 6:18 – “with all prayer and supplication praying at all seasons in the Spirit, and watching thereunto in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints,”
The battle rages around us. We are caught up in it. What battle? The spiritual battle between God and Satan. We know who wins, but that doesn’t mean that we aren’t faced with some major battles.
Paul in Ephesians 6 speaks of the Christian Armor that we are to put on. We must be equipped and aware daily of the fight for our faith. Notice in our verse today that Paul encourages us to pray. Pray in all seasons (all the time) while watching (being aware) continuously.
One of my mentors of the past always taught that nothing of eternal significance ever happened outside of prayer. The quest may be, “How much time do I devote to prayer each day?”
Prayer: Lord of Hosts, open my eyes to the importance of prayer in my life. Amen.
