Daily Bible Reading: 1 Thessalonians 1
Verse of the Day: 1 Thessalonians 1:2 – 3 – “We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers; remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labor of love and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father;”
John Maxwell often talks about leadership being influence. The degree to which we influence others, we lead them.
Paul told the Thessalonian Church that he often gave thanks in prayer for them. Why? Because as he says here of their faith, love and hope. Later in verses 6 – 7 Paul states they became the model church for others to follow.
If we realize how important our modeling Christ in this world really is, we probably would change a lot of things we do. If so, then understand that we are the visual image of Christ that so many may see. Live like it.
Prayer: Jesus, I want to model You to others. I must spend time in Your presence daily. I must read the Bible and pray each day. Amen.
