Honesty

December 1

Daily Bible Reading: Ezekiel 45 - 46

Verse of the Day: Ezekiel 45:10 – “Ye shall have just balances, and a just ephah, and a just bath. The ephah and the bath shall be of one measure, that the bath may contain the tenth part of a homer, and the ephah the tenth part of a homer: the measure thereof shall be after the homer.”

God tells the people that they are to use accurate measurements. He sets the standard of the ephah (estimated to be about a bushel) and the bath (roughly 6 to 9 gallons) to be that of one-tenth of a homer (approximately 11 bushels). God called for an end to dishonesty and deceit.

We can rejoice that there will come a day when all the schemes and dishonest connections will cease. I am looking forward to that day.

Prayer: Lord of all, we so look forward to the day of Your reign. Dishonesty, hatred, fear, unloving relationships, and so much more will come to an end. I pray for a change of heart in men today to prepare for that day. Amen.
