Daily Bible Reading: Daniel 1 - 2

Verse of the Day: Daniel 1:17 – “Now as for these four youths, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.”

Daniel arrives in Babylon as a teenager and lives a long life used by God in a pagan culture. His writings give us insight into his own life, and the prophecies of history and the future. Seeing that the prophecies of the world’s kingdoms have come true, we can be assured that Daniel’s prophecies of the Messiah and the end times will also come true.

God gives wisdom to a person who makes right decisions, godly reactions to the circumstances of life, and the application of Scriptural principles in their life. Daniel shows us the way and the by-product of putting God first.

Prayer: God of the past, present, and future, give us insight into Your truth as we spend time studying the life of Daniel over the next few days. Open our hearts and our minds to take away the instructions that are given in this book. Guide our study, Amen.
