Better than.....

Daily Bible Reading: Hebrews 1

Verse of the Day: Hebrews 1:1 – 3 – “God, having of old time spoken unto the fathers in the prophets by divers portions and in divers manners, hath at the end of these days spoken unto us in his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds;”

As we study the letter to the Hebrews, we find that the writer is calling us to see the superiority. The writer wants us to see that Jesus is superior to the prophets, angels, Joshua, the Sabbath, and Priests. He will encourage us that Jesus is better than any earthly priesthood, animal sacrifices, and the Old Testament Mosaic system of the priesthood. 

This letter is written to encourage us to cling to Jesus and not slip away from the truth. We must persevere even in the face of hardships. So, as we study this letter, let us learn to have Faith to believe in Jesus, Hope to endure the trials of life, and Love to encourage others in these truths,

Prayer: Father, may I see Jesus as Superior to all other things in Your Creation. Amen.
