The Unpardonable Sin

January 16

Daily Bible Reading: Matthew 12:22 – 50

Verse of the Day: Matthew 12:31 – 32 – “Therefore I say unto you, Every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men; but the blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven. And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him; but whosoever shall speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, nor in that which is to come.”

The unpardonable sin. Some worry over if they had committed it.

Jesus teaches that the stubborn refusal to heed the Holy Spirit’s convicting urgings and accept the forgiveness that Jesus offers is the unpardonable sin. In other words, if one dies without accepting the free gift that Christ offers through the Holy Spirit, there is no second chance.

While you are alive (and if you are reading this, you are), do not delay. Receive the free gift of Salvation today. You may not have another chance.

Prayer: Jesus, I accept Your gift now. Amen.
