Daily Bible Reading: Deuteronomy 28

Verse of the Day: Deuteronomy 28:23 – “And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron.”

Have you ever prayed and felt like the prayer never got any higher than the ceiling? You wonder if God even is listening. Well, God listens to every prayer of His children; He answers every one of them. He might say “Yes,” He might say “No,” and sometimes He says “Wait.” That wait might be because we are not yet ready to receive the answer. It might be because the timing is not the best. And, sometimes it is because of sin in our lives. When you find the heavens “brass,” stop and check your relationship with God. Is there anything between you and Him? If there is confess it and get it right with Him. If not, then wait and see His Great Hand move.

Prayer: Listening God, show me my relationship with You. Cleanse me and make my life what it should be. Amen.
