Remember - Remember - Remember

March 6

Daily Bible Reading: Deuteronomy 1 – 2

Verse of the Day: Deuteronomy 1:1a – “These are the words which Moses spake unto all Israel beyond the Jordan in the wilderness….”

The Book of the “Second Law.” Hard name, but a summary of all that has been given. This is a series of three sermons given by Moses to revisit the truths that the nation knew and needed to remember.

The first sermon is in chapters 1 – 4; the second in chapters 5 – 26; and the last in chapters 27 – 34. They provide three looks for the nation – Looking back, looking up, and looking ahead in that order.

God wants us to look at life the same way – we need to remember what He has done in our past. He wants us to remember what He expects of us now, and to remember what He will do for us in the days to come. Let Him show us who He was, is, and will be.

Prayer: Lord our God, Help us to look back, up, and ahead and remember Your great Hand in our lives. Amen.
