The Fullness of Time

Daily Bible Reading: Galatians 4

Verse of the Day: Galatians 4:4 – 5 – “but when the fulness of the time came, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 that he might redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

The “fullness of time” is the perfect time in history, the time that was appointed by God. The perfect time for Jesus to come into time and space and become human and die for us. The perfect time for the Seed of the woman to come (Gen, 3:15). 

Jesus was born under the law meaning that He was Jewish and subject to the Law. He was identified with mankind, the very ones He came to save. God bought us back from the slave market of sin and then not only bought us but also made us His adopted children. We are no longer slaves to sin, nor children under the tutor of the Law.

Prayer: Great and Glorious Father of Creation, I praise You that You planned from before You created time and space to provide my redemption and adoption. Hallelujah, amen!
