The Probable Solution

September 22

Daily Bible Reading: 2 Corinthians 13

Verse of the Day: 2 Corinthians 13:14 – “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.”

This is Paul’s benediction or concluding statement to the Corinthian believers. He invokes the blessing of the Triune God. He evokes grace from the Lord Jesus, love from God, and communion (or, fellowship) of the Holy Spirit.

At the end of this letter, Paul identifies the solution to many of their, and our, problems. The Holy Spirit who lived in each of the believers could empower them to live a righteous life. And, in addition, the Holy Spirit could reconcile them to each other. They could love and encourage each other, rather than fighting.

We need God’s grace instead of our selfishness, God’s love in place of anger, and fellowship instead of conflict.

Prayer: Glorious God, I come to You on bended knee, I fail in being right with others.
