Daily Bible Reading: Genesis 4
Verse of the Day: Genesis 41:41 – “And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt.”
Yesterday we left Joseph forgotten, today we see him raised to the second most powerful position on Earth in his day. What happened?
God’s timing. God’s plan. God’s purpose. Often we cannot see the whole picture in our finite position. We cannot understand why we do not receive the answer to our prayers. We wonder why we do not get that promotion. Why we seem to wait constantly for God’s response. Here we see in Joseph’s life that God had a plan, not just to release him from prison, but to use him in His plan to save Israel and in turn bring Jesus into the world.
Our limited sight does not understand to full purpose and plan of our King, our Savior, our Lord. Today, trust Him like you have never trusted Him before.
Prayer: Infinite Mighty God, God of all Creation, help my impatience to turn into a confident waiting for You. Amen.
