Wait on it - wait on it - wait on it

January 16

Daily Bible Reading: Genesis 38 – 40

Verse of the Day: Genesis 40:23 – “Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgat him.”

Ever struggle feeling that you are forgotten? Those those who have promised you to remember you have not done so. Ever feel forgotten by God? Today many preachers speak of God showing His Presence in all that He gives us, and when we are struggling then the obvious thought is that God has forgotten us.

Yet, in the account of Joseph we can see that God was always with him. In Genesis 39:2 we read, “And Jehovah was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.”

What was the problem? No problem, it was just that the time for God’s blessing and plan was not yet. At the right time, God will exalt Joseph, just as at His appointed time He will exalt us.

Prayer: God of all Ages, help me to wait patiently for Your timing. Your plan is perfect; my sight is limited. I will wait – Amen.
