Jehovah Blesses

Daily Bible Reading: Genesis 23 – 24

Verse of the Day: Genesis 24:1 – “And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age. And Jehovah had blessed Abraham in all things.”

Abraham has lived to a very old age and for most of it, he was faithful in following God. He had “feet of clay” just as we do – there were times in his life where he did not trust God. However, he always repented and came back. The Bible calls him the friend of God, the father of the faithful – and in turn gives us hope for our lives today. We will fail at times, yet when we come back God forgives and restores. 

Abraham knew that it was Jehovah who had provided all the blessing he had. We need to constantly be aware that all the things we have came from the good grace of Jehovah. We won’t be perfect, but repentance will keep us in the favor of Jehovah.

Prayer: Blessed Father, I come today in full confession of my sins. I seek You, and know that you will be there for me. Thank you for the blessings I have through Jesus. Amen.
